ยินดีต้อนรับสู่การแข้งขันพัทยามาราธอน ครั้งที่ 26 ประจำปี 2560 ณ ชายหาดเมืองพัทยา จังหวัดชลบุรี
Pattaya Beach is located only 120 km from Bangkok, Pattaya City is easily accessible and offers a variety of accommodation from budget rooms to 5-star hotels. Million of tourists from all over the world visit Pattaya City every year due to its famous tourist attractions like the famous Jomtien Beach known for its beautiful scenario and several water sports activities. Other mention able attractions includes KhaoPhraTamnak which offers 360 degree aerial panorama of Pattaya City, Sanctuary of Truth (Prasat Satchatham), the wooden architecture that preserve skills and knowledge of Thai ancient times.

GENERAL INFORMATION ข้อมูลทั่วไป
Pattaya Marathon 2017 is an annual international marathon race which is held on the second Sunday of July in the city of dream, Pattaya city, Thailand. It is an international standard Road Race. It has grown significantly since its inaugural race in 1992 – the 2016 event attracted a total of 15,000 entrants for all categories. There are five categories of competition: the full marathon, the half marathon, the 10.55 kilometres run, the 3.7 km wheelchair and the 3.7 km fun run race.
Total of 1.1 millions thai bath (THB) prize money for all runners is divided into five distances.
This year the event has been postponed to September 3, 2017 and will taking place on the beachfront road (Center Pattaya or called Pattaya Klang). The organizer will be The Athletic Association of Thailand Patron (His Majesty The King).
Pattaya Marathon is the most popular mass participation event in the city and attracts more than 15,000 runners across the whole weekend. The courses includes a 42.195km, 21.10km, 10.55km and 3.7km will be very challenging. The runners will need to be ready to run with many condition such as heat on flat roads through the Sukhumvit highway or windy along the Jomtiean beach road or run into the most popular nightlife area “Pattaya Walking Street” also the unforgettable high slope “Khao Prathamnak” mountain for the 10.55km runners.
The event consist of various family, social, sporting and entertainment activities for everyone to be a apart of.

ประเภทแข่งขันและกลุ่มอายุ มีทั้งสิ้น 5 ประเภท ดังนี้
1. ประเภทมาราธอน ระยะทาง 42.195 กม.
1.1 ชาย กลุ่มอายุ 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 และ 60 ปี ขึ้นไป
1.2 หญิง กลุ่มอายุ 18-29, 30-39, 40-49 และ 50 ปี ขึ้นไป
2. ประเภทฮาร์ฟมาราธอน ระยะทาง 21.1 กม.
2.1 ชาย กลุ่มอายุ 16-29, 30-39, 40-49 และ 50 ปี ขึ้นไป
2.2 หญิง กลุ่มอายุ 16-24, 25-34, 35-44 และ 45 ปี ขึ้นไป
3. ประเภทควอเตอร์มาราธอน 10.55 กม.
3.1 ชาย กลุ่มอายุ 14-19, 20-39, 40-49 และ 50 ปีขึ้นไป
3.2 หญิง กลุ่มอายุ 14-19, 20-34, 35-44 และ 45 ปีขึ้นไป
4. ประเภทวีลแชร์ 3.7 กม.
ไม่มีการแบ่งกลุ่มผู้แข่งขัน
5. ประเภทฟันรัน 3.7 กม.
ไม่มีการแบ่งกลุ่มผู้แข่งขัน เป็นการเดิน-วิ่งเพื่อสุขภาพ และให้ทุกคนมีส่วนร่วมในกิจกรรม จะไม่มีการประลองความเร็วเพื่อรางวัลใดๆ ยกเว้น นักเรียนหรือเยาวชนชายและหญิง ที่มีอายุไม่เกิน 14 ปี ที่สามารวิ่งเข้าเส้นชัยได้อันดับ 1-3 จะได้รับทุนการศึกษา
เวลาตัดตัว (Cut-Off Time)
ผู้แข่งขันในประเภทระยะมาราธอน, ฮาร์ฟมาราธอน และควอเตอร์มาราธอน จะได้รับบันทึกเวลาแข่งขัน โดยใช้ระบบอิเล็กโทรนิค Timing Chip เป็นอุปกรณ์จับเวลา โดยจะมีกำหนดเวลาในการแข่งขันของระยะต่างๆ (Cut-Off Time) ดังนี้
- ระยะมาราธอน ภายใน 7.30 ชั่วโมง หรือไม่เกิน 11.00 น. (สตาร์ดเวลา 03.30 น.)
- ระยะฮาร์ฟมาราธอน ภายใน 3.30 ชั่วโมง หรือไม่เกิน 08.40 น. (สตาร์ดเวลา 05.10 น.)
- ระยะควอเตอร์มาราธอน ภายใน 2.00 ชั่วโมง หรือไม่เกิน 07.45 น. (สตาร์ดเวลา 05.45 น.)
- ระยะวีลแชร์ ภายใน 50 นาที หรือไม่เกิน 06.20 น. (สตาร์ดเวลา 05.30 น.)
- ระยะฟันรัน ภายใน 1 ชั่วโมง หรือไม่เกิน 07.30 น. (สตาร์ดเวลา 06.30 น.)

OVERALL COURSE MAP เส้นทางแข่งขัน
เส้นทางโดยรวมของการแข่งขัน จะครอบคลุมพื้นที่ของเมืองพัทยา บริเวณถนนเลียบชายหาดเมืองพัทยา, ถนนคนเดิน Walking Street, ถนนเทพประสิทธิ์, ถนนจอมเทียนสาย 2, ถนนสุขุมวิท มุ่งหน้าสัตหีบ, ถนนเลียบหาดจอมเทียน และท่าเทียบเรือแหลมบาลีฮาย เป็นต้น โดยผู้จัดได้จัดให้การดูแลด้านความปลอดภัยแก่นักวิ่งอย่างเต็มประสิทธิภาพ ไฮไลท์ของเส้นทางวิ่งระยะมาราธอนและฮาร์ฟมาราธอน นักวิ่งทุกท่านจะได้วิ่งเลียบชายหาดในช่วงแรก จากนั้นจะต้องวิ่งในลักษณะของ Rolling หรือทางเลียบสลับเนินซึม ซึ่งจะถือเป็นบททดสอบด่านสำคัญของทุกๆท่าน หลังจากวิ่งไปบนถนนสุขุมวิท และ U-Turn กลับมาแล้ว ทุกท่านจะได้วิ่งเลียบชายหาดจอมเทียน สัมผัสกับบรรยากาศของทะเลเมืองพัทยา ก่อนที่จะกลับมาวิ่งผ่านถนนคนเดิน Walking Street และเข้าเส้นชัย ณ บริเวณหน้า Central Festival พัทยากลาง ส่วนเส้นทางวิ่งของระยะควอเตอร์มาราธอน ถือว่ามีความท้าทาย ไม่แพ้ระยะมาราธอนและฮาร์ฟมาราธอนเช่นกัน ไฮไลท์ในระยะนี้คือ ทุกท่านจะต้องวิ่งขี้นเนินชันโดยมีจุดหมายที่เขาพระตำหนัก เมื่อวิ่งมาถึงจุดนี้ ท่านจะได้เห็นภาพเมืองพัทยาในมุมที่สูงที่สุด ซึ่งถือว่าคุ้มแสนคุ้มเลยทีเดียว จากนั้นจะวิ่งลงเนินมาผ่านถนน Walking Street กลับมาเข้าเส้นชัย ณ จุดเดียวกับระยะมาราธอนและฮาร์ฟมาราธอน

North Pattaya (พัทยาเหนือ) is adjacent to Haad Wong Ammat. Specifically, it starts from Dolphin roundabout or in front of Dusit Resort. It is the most quiet beach of all the three beaches of Pattaya. The gradual slope makes it a nice spot for swimming, while brown-red sand and light blue sea offers beautiful view. Moderate amount of the beach chairs, beach umbrellas and food stands can be found on this beach, whereas some hotels, restaurants clubs and bars are located along the seaside road. This area is more upmarket than other parts of the city in terms of accommodations and dining options.
Pattaya 2nd Rd. in the northern part of Pattaya, there is venue for some lively entertainment. It is where you can find the awe-inspiring and most spectacular performance in Pattaya, Alcaza and Tiffany Shows offering glamorous and dazzling shows by lady boys. There is also a shopping mall at the intersection between North Pattaya and Central Pattaya.
Central Pattaya (พัทยากลาง) is the most popular beach with its beautiful brown-red sandy beach, accommodations options and all types of facilities you can imagine. At the end of North Pattaya, you will find the golden mermaid and dolphins marking the start of the beach of Central Pattaya. There is a concentration of the beach activities here such as jet-ski, banana boat and paragliding and numerous convenient stores, fast-food restaurants, coffee shops, cafes, beer bars, tour agencies as well as Tourist Police Station and Pattaya Immigration Bureau.
Central Pattaya is the location where a plenty of leisure and entertainment venues are located such as Ripley’s believe It or Not museum collecting extraordinary objects from around the world.
South Pattaya (พัทยาใต้) is not the southern-most part of Pattaya as the name suggests but the are is next to the southern end of Pattaya Beach. It extends inland to the north and south of South Pattaya Rd. Buddha Hill headland and Jomtien are the most south but they are not included in South Pattaya. This area includes Pattayaland and Walking Street. Despite the fact that there is only one sandy beach for swimming in South Pattaya, the area has myriads of leisure and entertainment activities to offer to the tourists along its 500 meters long walking street which is the main tourist area. There are shops stores, restaurants, bars, discotheques and nightclubs, opening until very late at night.
Jomtien Beach (หาดจอมเทียน), is a straight 6 km sandy beach located about 2 km from South Pattaya and 4 km from Pattaya City. It has been a spot for those who enjoy tranquility and would like to escape from the hustle and bustle of the entertainment area. Despite the fact that property development of high-rise condominiums, hotels and resorts is burgeoning in this area, Jomtien beach is still peaceful and popular amongst the locals, Bangkokians, family travellers and retired expats.
Its sandy beach is fringed with pine trees, quite narrow and has a small slope into the sea. There are restaurants and cafes along the beach for tourists to enjoy fresh seafood and drinks while looking out into the sea. Entertainment and leisure activities are ample to enjoy a lively nigh tout. A galore of water sports are available including kite surf, para sail, jet ski and windsurf.

By Car :
Located on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand, Pattaya city is 147 km from Bangkok and can be reached in 2 hours by car.
Option#1 : Bangkok-Chonburi-Pattaya Motorway (Highway No.7). The motorway is linked with Bangkok’s Outer Ring Road (Highway No. 9). There are entrances to the hightway at Si Nakharin and Rama IX Junction.
Option#2 : Bangna Trat Highway (Highway No. 34) From Bangna, Bangphlee, cross over Bang Pakong River to Chonburi. Take Chonburi bypass to meet Sukhumvit Road (Highway No. 3), pass Bang Saen Beach and Bang Phra to reach Pattaya.
Option#3 : Bangkok – Minburi (Highway No.304), pass Chachoengsao and Bang Pakong river to reach Chonburi.
Most hotels in Bangkok provide limousine service from the hotel to Pattaya city.
By Bus :
There are bus services departing from Bangkok throughout the day. Air-conditioned and non-aircon coaches regularly depart from Option#1 : the Eastern Bangkok Bus Terminal (Ekamai), Option#2 : Bangkok Bus Terminal (Mo Chit 2) and Option#3 : Suvarnabhumi Airport.

There are some direct bus services from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Pattaya hotels and Pattaya bus station. It runs daily from 05:30 am. to 06.30 pm.

By Train :
On Mondays to Fridays, Bangkok to Pattaya city depart from Hua Lamphong Train Station, 3rd class train (non-airconditioned) departs at 06.55 am. and arrives at Pattaya station at 10.34 am. before continuing to Sattahip.
From Pattaya to Bangkok, the train arrives at Pattaya Station at 02.21 pm. and terminates in Bangkok at 06.25 pm. There is advanced booking available.
Pattaya has two train stations located in the east of Sukhumvit Road:
Arrival : Pattaya Train Station is the main stop, located in the north of the junction with Central Pattaya Rd. There are local minibus waiting around the station to take passengers anywhere in the Pattaya Beach area. To board the train at this station, passengers must buy tickets beforehand. The ticket office is open from 8 am. – 4 pm.
By Plane :
From Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK)
Suvarnabhumi Airport is located only 110 km from Pattaya. Therefore, transfers by road are inexpensive and quick. It is made easy and convenient by the Highway. There are licenced taxi services from the airport. The one-way fares are around 1,200 Baht excluding 60 Baht for two toll fees. It takes approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to Pattaya in non-peak hours.
From Don Muang Airport (DMK)
Don Muang Airport was superseded by Suvarnabhumi Airport in 2006 and re-opened in 2007. It currently handles Nok Air, One-Two-GO, PB Air and most Thai Airways domestic flights. Travelling by taxi is the easiest way to Pattaya but one can also go by bus via Mo Chit (Bangkok’s Northern Bus Terminal) or by train via Hualamphong Train Station.
From U-Tapao Airport (UTP)
U-Tapao Airport is located 30km south of Pattaya, off the Sattahip – Chanthaburi (Sukhumvit) Highway or 45 minutes drive to Pattaya. It is used as a military facility, it’s the closest airport fielding commercial passenger flights. There are no commercial passenger flights connecting U-Tapao directly with Bangkok. Bangkok Airways provides daily flights connecting Ko Samui and U-Taphao Airport.
